Chinese bamboo is a plant with a mission. Its mission is to teach football teams the value of caring for the basics, patience and persistence toward our goal. This is what happens when you plant the seeds, water and fertilise them. For the first year nothing happens when you plant the seeds, but people keep watering them into the second year. Still nothing happens. You keep doing it for a couple of years more, but there is still no sign of plant. And then, during the fifth year of loving care a wonderful change takes place - in a mere six weeks the bamboo grows to a remarkable heinght of more than 25 metres. The question is - Did the bamboo grow 25 metres in 6 weeks or in 5 years? The answer is in 5 years. By tending the roots and building a solid base, you nurtured the plant
